Here you will find some examples of the creative play and learning ideas that we have designed at Creative Play Central. Our goal is to devise fun, original, open ended experiences that are personalised to meet the interests and needs of your child, or children.
Wooden blocks are such a versatile play item. Covering different sized blocks in clear contact (sticky side facing out) and providing various decorative pieces allows children to transform wooden blocks into all sorts of imaginative creations.
We design activities to suit different learning styles, for example if you have a child that is a kinesthetic learner and prefers to “learn on the go” they might enjoy one of the games featured here that involves physical activity. We created some bubble wrap “tiles” to prepare a playful learning game to suit a toddler and four year old. For the toddler, coloured shapes covered in bubble wrap were placed on the floor and for the older child some letter and word tiles were prepared. We have created several different enjoyable games to play with bubble wrap tiles that are guaranteed to have your child laughing and learning at the same time. Other games we have created include making up gigantic game boards using masking tape.
Babies can easily be catered for at Creative Play Central. Featured here we have a sensory peek-a-boo game that many babies enjoy. We create a large variety of enjoyable play experiences for babies.

These pop up pieces have been created from cardboard. Combining some favourite toys and figurines with them can lead to many hours of imaginative play.

At Creative Play Central we specialise in making original and creative pieces that can be enjoyed in several different ways. We can show you how to make a stunning backdrop for a shadow box using crayons and watercolours. The beauty of this artwork, like all of our ideas, is that this creation can be modified and the stunning result is easy for young children to achieve. The particular shadow box featured here has been enjoyed by a fairy loving girl – many stories have been told about fairies and their adventures. Using this particular technique you could create an underwater land, or make a scene for another planet. The possibilities are endless and only limited by your imagination.
Adding a basket of props (such as shells, felt, paper doilies, feathers etc) inspires creative play when building with blocks.
